Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tater Tot Games ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you play our games — including Mogul, Street Baron and Rent Baron — or visit this website (together, the "Services").
We build our games to collect as little as possible, and we never sell your personal information.
Contents
1. What we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Information you give us. If you contact us for support or sign up for launch news, we collect your email address and anything you include in your message.
- Game & device data. To make the games work and improve them, we and our service providers may collect a device identifier, device model and operating system, app version, language/region, crash reports, and gameplay events (for example, level progress, purchases and settings).
- Purchase data. In-app purchases are processed by Apple and Google, not by us. We receive a confirmation that a purchase occurred (and what was bought) so we can deliver it, but we never receive or store your full payment card details.
- Cloud save & account data. To save your progress across devices, we store your game save data in the cloud, linked to a platform gaming account (such as Game Center, Google Play Games, or a Unity player account). Some games (for example, Rent Baron) include an online leaderboard that shows a display name and score.
- Analytics & advertising identifiers as described in sections 4 and 5.
We do not ask for your real name, postal address, phone number, or precise location, and our games have no chat or messaging features.
2. How we use it
- To operate, maintain and provide the games and this website;
- To save and restore your game progress;
- To deliver in-app purchases you make;
- To understand how the games are played so we can fix bugs and improve them;
- To respond to your support requests;
- To send launch news if you asked us to; and
- To keep the Services safe and comply with the law.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to run the game you asked to play), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Services), consent (for optional analytics, personalised ads and marketing emails, where required), and legal obligation.
4. Who we share with
We share limited data with service providers who help us run the games. These typically include:
- App stores — Apple App Store and Google Play (distribution and payments);
- Analytics & crash reporting — Unity (Unity Analytics) and Google (Google Analytics for Firebase / Crashlytics);
- Cloud & backend services — Unity Gaming Services and Google Play Games Services;
- Advertising partners — see section 5.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Advertising
Our games are free to play and may show advertising to support that.
Any ads are always opt-in — you choose to watch a rewarded ad in exchange for an in-game bonus; we never force ads on you. Our advertising partners Unity Ads and Google (AdMob) may use a mobile advertising identifier to measure and (with your consent, where required) personalise ads. You can reset or limit this identifier in your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising.
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads.
6. Children
Our games feature mature themes and are intended for adult audiences. They are not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, gameplay and analytics data for as long as you use the game plus a reasonable period afterward, and support emails for as long as needed to handle your request. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (section 8).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email us at contact@tatertotgames.com and we will respond as required by law. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
12. Contact us
